Man fined after fire gets out of control

CORFU. Firefighters were called out to Tsaki, Benitses on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Fire Department, a fire which someone had lit to burn some branches got out of control and spread to two olive trees.
Firefighters were able to quickly get it under control but the owner of the land was fined €200 for burning agricultural rubbish without taking the necessary safety measures.
