Antiquities Inspectorate halts bulldozers at naval outpost in Erimitis

CORFU. Written request for cessation of work at Artavanis in Agios Stefanos, Erimitis.
The Ministry of Culture Inspectorate of Antiquities in Corfu has sent a written request for all work to cease.
The document, signed by Inspectorate Director Tenia Rigakou, states: "We have been informed that work is being carried out on your alleged property in Erimitis and would like to point out the following: all earthworks, including deforestation, excavation, landscaping etc., in the project must be carried out under the supervision of the Inspectorate according to provision no. 7 of the relevant agreement ESHADA Kassiopi (Special Plan for Land Development of Public Property)."
