CORFU. A 42-year-old man was arrested in Corfu Town yesterday.
Acting on information received from a DEDDIE (Electricity Company) employee, police set up an operation to catch and arrest a man for bribery.
The 42-year-old man offered the employee money in order not to take action against him for interfering with the electricity meter. A meeting was arranged and police arrested the man as he was giving 2,000 Euros to the employee.
The arrested man was taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
