IOANNINA. The highest level of particulate matter in Greece was recorded in Ioannina.
According to data from PANAKEIA - the national body for the study of atmospheric composition and climate change - the highest levels of air pollution were recorded in Ioannina.
The highest level of particulate matter in Ioannina was 350 mg/ m3 compared to 250-300mg/m3 in Attica and 200 μg/m3 in Thessaloniki and Patras.
The winter measurements are carried out by PANAKEIA between 10 December and 10 February in collaboration with universities and other research foundations.
