School Recycling Competition in Corfu

The school competition is being held in collaboration with Corfu Primary Education Department and aims to encourage the active participation of pupils in recycling and to reward them as part of the Followgreen initiative.

Each of the participating schools will have special bins to collect materials separately - paper, aluminium, plastic and batteries. Pupils and teachers will be able to recycle and the results will be electronically recorded on the site Schools In Action.

Parents will also play a significant role - not only will they provide pupils with recyclable materials from home, but will also be able to support the children's efforts by donating the school with reward points they have collected from the online platform.

At the end of the competition all the participating schools will be rewarded for their efforst by the Corfiot and Diapontian Municipality .

It is hope that everyone will help in this initiative so that the young generation can learn the value of recycling.
