CORFU. The fire broke out in an area with reeds at 11:00.
Fire broke out near Agios Markos just after 11:00.
According to initial information from the Fire Service, the fire began in an area with reeds and has spread very quickly. There are some nearby houses now at risk.
The Fire Service immediately sent all available resources and orders have been given for support to be provided from the air.
The Municipal Civil Protection Department has also sent three vehicles and a water tank.
