CORFU. A 29-year-old foreign national, member of an organised drug trafficking gang, was arrested in a wooded area of North Corfu.
Corfu Drugs Squad broke up an organised drug trafficking gang in Corfu. A 29-year-old foreign national was arrested on Tuesday (10/9) night in a thick wooded area. In his possession were two bags with 18 packages of unprocessed cannabis weighing 20.86kg.
The man and two other accomplices aged 20 and 19, who are still being sought, were charged with the felony of forming a gang and drug trafficking.
The Drugs Squad carried out the interrogation and are currently searching for the man's two fellow gang members.
The arrested man was taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
