Order given for Neohori to be evacuated

CORFU. Firefighting planes have been requested to help fight the fire which is out of control in South Corfu in the same location as last week΄s fire.
At the moment firefighters, residents and volunteers are fighting the fire.
The fire broke out just after 16:00 and at 18:00 it is still out of control, according to sources at the Regional Administration for Corfu. As a precautionary measure the order has been given for the village of Neohori to be evacuated.
