CORFU. A 67-year-old man has been arrested in Perama for shooting his dog.
He has been charged with injuring a pet animal and illegal use of a weapon.
Police Press Release:
This afternoon (16/5) a 67-year-old Greek man was arrested in Corfu by Tourist Police for violation of the law regarding stray and pet animals and for illegal use of a weapon.
The man was arrested following a report yesterday (15/5) that he had shot and injured his dog with a shotgun, which he legally owned.
Achilleion Police are investigating the incident and the 67-year-old man will be taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
