CORFU. The school pupils are visiting Corfu as part of the KA2 Erasmus+ Programme.
There are 22 visitors (13 pupils and 9 teachers) from the towns of Velez-Malaga in Spain, Cioia del Colle in Italy, Inowroclaw in Poland and Daugavpils in Latvia. The subject of the 2017-19 collaborative project is "Europe's Cultural Mosaic: influences and interactions in European culture".
The visiting pupils, who are here from 4 to 9 May, are being put up at the homes of the Corfu pupils who were accommodated at the homes of the four towns' pupils when visiting their countries. They will then travel to Athens accompanied by the Corfu teachers in the Erasmus+ team and stay in the capital from 9 to 11 May.
Whilst they are in Corfu they will go on guided tours of the Old Town, the museums and other places of interest on the island. They will also take part in workshops and creative activities at the school as part of their project.
Through exchange visits the Erasmus+ programme promotes mutual understanding a shared European identity amongst young people in Europe.
