Young Corfu athlete candidate for Under-18 Woman Athlete of the Year 2018!

ATHENS. The young Corfu athlete Spyridoula Karidi is one of the four candidates for Greek Under-18 Woman Athlete of the Year 2018.

The Corfu athlete (triple jump and long jump) who performed so well nationally and internationally last year has been named by the Hellenic Amateur Athletic Association (SEGAS) as one of the four candidates - the winner will be chosen by public vote. The other three candidates are Stavroula Kosmidou (hammer throw), Elina Tzango (javelin) and Olga Fiaska (walking).

The public will have the opportunity to vote for the top athletes in the men's and women's Under-20 and Under-18 categories. The voting takes place from Thursday 24 January to Friday 1 February.

The public can vote on the SEGAS website as well as on its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Pages. The winners will be announced on Monday 4 February and will be presented with the Public Awards a few days later on 8 February at a ceremony at the Peace & Friendship Stadium in Athens.
