CORFU. The lantern which fell in Liston in early October due to bad weather is back in place.
The Venetian lantern has been repaired and is now back in position in the Liston arches. It had fallen off in early October due to the bad weather - fortunately without causing any injuries.
The Municipal technical department carried out the necessary repair work and put it back in place, thus restoring the image of the town's landmark site.
Following the incident it was announced that all the lights in the Liston are being checked and where necessary old damaged lanterns will be replaced by new ones exactly the same in order to avoid any more 'incidents'.
