LEFKIMMI. Another troubled night in Lefkimmi, where residents of SOuth Corfu continue to protest against the landfill and the presence of riot police.
The protests continue and residents gather daily outside the Regional Building in the presence of the police. Initial information says that some protestors threw molotovs and the police responded with chemicals.
The area was like a 'war zone' with fires burning in bins and flashbangs being fired.
