Four Corfu pupils qualify for National Mathematics Olympiad

CORFU. The pupils are from four different years.
Four pupilts from Corfu distinguished themselves in the 85th National School Pupil "Euclid" Mathematics Competition and will compete in the National "Archimedes" Mathematical Olympiad on Saturday, February 22. The pupils come from four different years.
11 pupils from Corfu participated in the "Euclid" competition. The pupils compete in order to qualify, through the Preliminary Competition, for the National Team that will take part in:
- The 42nd Balkan Mathematics Olympiad (first ten days of May 2025, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina)
- The 66th International Mathematics Olympiad (July 10-20, 2025, Sunshine Coast, Australia)
- The 29th Junior Balkan Mathematics Olympiad (June 25-30, 2025, North Macedonia)
- The European Girls’ Mathematics Olympiad (April 11-17, 2025, Pristina, Kosovo)
The pupils who qualified are:
- Alkinoos Bizianis (3rd year, Corfu 2nd Junior High School)
- Katerina Gerekou (1st year, Corfu 1st High School)
- Androniki Boskolo (2nd year, Corfu 2nd High School)
- Nikolaos Efthymiopoulos (3rd year, Corfu 2nd High School)

Additionally, the Pythagoras 2025 Mathematical Ability Competition for pupils in years 2-6 of primary school and years 1-3 of junior high school will be held remotely on March 15, 2025.
