Local political party representatives meet with Mayor

CORFU. On the initiative of the Town Council President Maria Mouzakiti, there was a meeting at the Mayor΄s office on Thursday afternoon.
The meeting followed the incidents at the Town Council meeting the previous evening which had to be cut short.
The purpose of the meeting, which was chaired by Mayor Kostas Nikolouzos, was to ensure the smooth, democratic functioning of the Council. From the 'Kerkyraion Dimos' party the leader Meropi Ydraiou and Nikos Kalogeros were present and from the 'Laiki Sispeirosi' party Haris Mastoras was present. Yiannis Trepekli's party didn't accept the invitation.
Due to the urgent need to discuss important topics, Maria Mouzakiti said that the meeting which was cut short will resume very soon - before 15 August. Councillors will be given the new time and date very soon.
