LEFKIMMI. The Association considers the fire that destroyed three buildings at the Lefkimmi landfill to be the work of provocateurs. The following statement was issued:
Today, 6/5/18, we were informed by the Fire Service that a fire had broken out at the Lefkimmi (Mesorachia) landfill. The Cultural Society and Residents Movement consider it to be at the very least suspicious - coming just a few hours after South Corfu residents' large protest demonstration against the operation of the illegal landfill facility.
