New flights to Corfu from Lufthansa Group

The Lufthansa Group is increasing the number of flights to popular destinations in Greece and is adding new routes for the coming tourist season, the company announced.

ATHENS. Lufthansa Group executives presented the Group’s latest developments in the international and Greek markets to press representatives in Athens and informed them that Lufthansa had achieved a 6% increase in Greek bookings. This was good news for them and showed that “The Group’s strategy is moving in the right direction.”  

For this year’s summer season new flights and routes to popular Greek destinations have been added to the Group’s flight network.  

New routes

The Group has 5 airlines operating in Greece (Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings), it has a presence at 20 Greek airports and offers up to 443 direct flights per week to 17 destinations in Europe.

This summer, Lufthansa will have a new Santorini-Frankfurt service, SWISS is adding a Kalamata-Geneva service to its programme, Austrian Airlines has 12 new flights and Brussels Airlines is adding services for the first time between Brussels and Corfu, Zakynthos, Chania, Kos, Mykonos, Kalamata and Santorini. Eurowings, the high-quality, low-cost Lufthansa subsidiary, is adding 18 new flights between Corfu, Heraklion, Kos and Rhodes and German and Austrian airports. Edelweiss, the SWISS subsidiary, is adding flights from Zurich to Chania and Samos this year.
