Public prosecutor to visit Temploni landfill on Tuesday

CORFU. The Public Prosecutor, Mr. Tatakis, met with members of the Central Corfu Residents Action Committee for 1½ hours this morning.
The Committee has been blockading the landfill since Saturday morning and representatives said that they agreed in today’s meeting that the Prosecutor should visit the landfill on Tuesday to observe the situation. A public meeting will also be organized to determine whether or not the Committee legally represents the majority of the residents.
The Action Committee, however, remain firm in their commitment to blockading the landfill indefinitely.
