CORFU. The trial due to take place in Corfu this morning of the 59-year-old fireman from Igoumenitsa accused of murdering a 48-year-old man has been postponed.
The crime committed in April 2017 had shocked everyone in Igoumenitsa when the fireman shot and killed the man who was allegedly having an affair with his wife.
The crime is being tried in Corfu but due to today’s weather conditions ferry boats have been prohibited from sailing - meaning that it wasn’t possible for the witnesses to travel to Corfu. The trial has therefore been postponed until next Wednesday.
