“Frutti di Mare”: Now oranges are being washed up on the shore!

CORFU. Just a short walk from the coastal road, in stark contrast to the idyllic summer views, we can see the state of neglect in winter.
Every year at this time the sea washes up piles of rubbish and debris as a reminder of how ‘civilized’ we are. Over the last few days, the southern winds have been blowing around the NAOK coastline – bringing with them tree trunks (who knows where from!), the usual countless plastic objects and hundreds of oranges! The question is who is going to collect it all and where is it going to end up?
