“Boom” gynaecological/urological examination chair donated to North Corfu Municipality

CORFU. For the “Anna Mouzakiti” preventive healthcare initiatives organised by the Acharavi Women’s Cultural Association “Progress”
On Wednesday, June 17, the handover ceremony of a new gynaecological–urological examination chair (“Boom”) took place at the premises of the Multipurpose Regional Medical Clinic of Acharavi. The chair was donated by the Acharavi Women’s Cultural Association “Progress” to the Municipality of North Corfu, in order to be used within the framework of the Municipality’s “Anna Mouzakiti” preventive medicine initiatives.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Mayor of North Corfu, Georgios Mahimaris, the Deputy Mayor of North Corfu, Spyridoula Kokkali, the Director of the Multipurpose Regional Medical Clinic of Acharavi, Dr. Nikolaos Poulis, members of the Board of Directors of the Association of Private Freelance Doctors of Corfu (SIEK), Dr. Dimitris Polymenakos and Dr. Dimitris Dafnis, as well as staff members of the “Help at Home” facility of the Municipality of North Corfu, Dimitra Kokkinori and Aristea Ntigkou. The Acharavi Women’s Cultural Association was represented by Maria Pouliasi, Ourania Lazaraki, and Sofia Koskina.
The “Anna Mouzakiti” preventive medicine initiatives, implemented by the Municipality of North Corfu, aim at the prevention and early diagnosis of serious diseases through free preventive examinations, as well as public information and awareness-raising activities. This donation will be used in support of these actions.
The Municipality of North Corfu expressed its gratitude to the Acharavi Women’s Cultural Association for this important contribution, which is a tangible demonstration of the association’s social sensitivity and spirit of giving.
