CORFU. Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipality has warned that persons unknown have been pretending to represent the Municipality (Deputy Mayor for Economy Giorgos Pantelios).
They tried to deceive shopkeepers in Corfu Town regarding orders of goods and services supposedly on behalf of the Municipality.
Businesspeople and shopkeepers are being warned to take extra care and disregard these kinds of orders and to report these incidents to the authorities.
It should be noted that any orders for goods or services for the Municipality are always carried out following the correct legal procedures and never orally.
