Injured tourist, 60, rescued in Giannades

CORFU. Firefighters went to the scene after a call was made to 112.
A 60-year-old tourist injured her leg whilst trying to get to the 'Yiali' beach in Giannades at just after 13:30 today.
The Polish woman fell and injured her leg near the path leading to the beach. She was accompanied by her daughters, who immediately called 112 for help.
A fire engine went to the scene with a crew of six firefighters. She was given first aid and then taken up to the road, where an ambulance was waiting to take her to Corfu Hospital.
