Vidos Island still being cleaned up by volunteers!

CORFU. The cleaning up of the small island is still being done by volunteers.
According to the councillor responsible for Vidos, the municipality still doesn't have personnel available, even though the shuttle service has begun and preparations are underway for the municipal summer camps.
The councillor responsible for Vidos and Lazareto Spyros Neratzis posted photos on social media showing visitors cleaning up on Sunday.
He told Enimerosi that they, themselves, had offered to help when they saw him working there and would like to thank them publicly for their help.
"The local authority may not have the means to collect the waste and clean up the small beach, but Corfiots love Vidos," Spyros Neratzis said.
"They don't just want it to be clean and respectable, but they do something about it. They don't just place blame and complain, but they take the initiative and 'roll up their sleeves'! We thank them all!"
