CORFU. Awarded to Stavros Ioannou Group with a €16,000 monthly rent.
Seven bidders claimed the municipal property, which is known to all Corfiots as Aktaion, while the starting price was set at €7,100.
The auction for the lease of the cafe took place today at Maraslio Town Hall with the tender being awarded to Stavros Ioannou Group. The cafe will reopen as Onlist (anagram of Liston) Corfu Aktaion with a €16,000 monthly rent.
Contract and deposit
The award of the highest bidder is expected to pass by the Central Corfu Municipal Finance Committee. If approved, the contract will be signed and a deposit equal to one year's rents (€192,000) will be paid. This procedure is expected to take 10 to 15 days.
The Ioannou Group also owns Nolita in Town Hall Square and Pazuzu in Glyfada, as well as several other businesses in Athens, including hotels.
The Group's partners are expected to begin work on the new cafe immediately.
