Top of Mt.Pantokrator closed to traffic due to snow

CORFU. The road has been closed to traffic from Kelia Petalias to the top of the mountain.
Due to continuous snowfall, North Corfu Municipality has made the following announcement:
1. Roads are open to traffic in Lavkia, Strinilla, Sgourades junction and Petalia to Kelia but care must be taken due to ice.
2. The road between Kelia and the top of Mt. Pantokrator is closed to traffic for the next few hours - vehicles must use snow chains and take great care.
North Corfu Civil Protection Service has sent a snowplough to the area and salt is being put on the road so that it can be made safe for traffic in the next few hours.
Care must be taken on the other roads due to ice.
