CORFU. The 3rd Corfu Food and Wine Festival begins on Monday 27 September with producers from all the Ionian Islands taking part for the first time.

Special Award for Culinary Traveller of the Year
- The Chefs' Club will be presenting the Culinary Traveller of the Year Award to the internationally-renowned chef from Corfu Pericles Koskinas.
- The Agrifood Partnership with the top chefs of the Ionian Islands and Corfu Chefs' Club will present traditional and contemporary dishes based on local Ionian products. Ionian producers display their products to businesses and visitors.
- Music and Literature from local groups showcasing the cultural identity of the Ionian Islands.
- Interviews with local producers.
- Round-table discussion on the utilisation of the diaspora to strengthen the promotion of local gastronomy abroad.
- Round-table discussion on innovation in agricultural production and gastronomy - threats and opportunities.

Tuesday 28 September

Seminar: Local history as an inspiration for the creation of new trends.

Welcome addresses from Rodi Kratsa-Tsagaropoulou, Ionian Islands Regional Governor and Ionian University Dean Andreas Floros.

- Dr. Agamemnon Tselikas, Supervisor at National Bank of Greece Cultural Foundation: Research and utilisation of historical documents for new inspiration.
- Pericles Koskinas, Chef: The value of using local products and the local culinary art history.
- Alexandros Aggelopoulos, Managing Director of Aldemar Resorts Group: His experience from 11 years of Symposio, the international roadshow promoting Greek cuisine abroad.
- Nikolaos Mouzakitis, President of the Ionian Islands Regional Council and Agrifood Partnership: Local Quality Agreement 'Ionian Land'.
- Discussion and consultation with those present.
- Musical event.
- Reception with Ionian wine and amuse bouche with local products, inspired by recipes from 1800.

- Welcome Drinks
- Welcome address - presentation of the Festival and menu
- Serving of amuse bouche inspired by recipes from 1800 and Ionian wine.
- Poetry reading - Hugo Foskolas, Lord Byron, Shelly, Andreas Kalvos.
- Recital of Greek and European songs from the 19th century.
