Kiosks to close at midnight in ΄red΄ zones
ATHENS. Pharmacies and filling stations can remain open.
Civil Protection Deputy Minister Nikos Hardalias announced new measures for Attica - the hardest hit area in Greece - in order to prevent the spread of the virus.
According to Mr. Hardalias, it is clear that we are at a critical point and no measures can be effective if we don't adhere to them.
He announced that retail vendors will not be allowed to remain open between midnight and 5 a.m. in Attica and other 'red' zone areas - Imathia, Kilkis, Pellas, Pieria, Halkidiki, Chania, Heraklion, Zakynthos, Lesvos and Mykonos. Exceptions are pharmacies and filling stations.
The Deputy Minister said that the measure will be in force from tomorrow until 4 October. He added that catering establishments can now open at 5 a.m.
