110 new cases of coronavirus in Greece on Saturday 1 August - 3 of them in Corfu

ATHENS. 60 cases in Northern Greece, including 24 at a factory in Kavala - 19 in Attica - 9 at entry points - 10 patients intubated.

EODY announced 110 new confirmed cases of coronavirus on Saturday 1 August, 9 of which were detected at entry points. 60 of the cases were in Northern Greece, 24 from a meat factory in Kavala and 36 in Thessaloniki.

In Thessaloniki 14 cases were at weddings and 6 from checks at car repair workshops.

The total number of cases in Greece is now 4,587, of which 54.8% are males. 1,280 (27.9%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 2,252 (49.1%) are from contacts with known cases.

10 patients - 2 females, 8 males - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 58 and 60% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 128 patients have been discharged from ICUs

There were no deaths today and the total number of fatalities remains at 206. 66 (32.5%) were females. The average age was 76 and 96.1% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.

37 in Thessaloniki, 10 of which were from one wedding
23 in Kavala at a meat factory#

3 in Corfu
3 in Halkidiki
2 in Pieria
1 in Corinth
1 in Larissa
1 in Pellas
1 in Achaia
1 in Viotia

Since 1 January 539,493 samples have been tested of which 6,604 (1.4%) were positive (including cases of more than one sample per person).
