ATHENS. Along with Athens this year΄s tourist season is beginning with 2 international flights on Monday and four on Tuesday at Thessaloniki ΄Macedonia΄ Airport.
Corfu 'Capodistrias' Airport will see the first international flights for this season from 1 July. There are not expected to be large numbers straight away and things will probably get back in swing from 15 July onwards.
It was much the same at Athens Airport as regards international flights and it seemed more like a dress rehearsal than a premiere. A Fraport executive told Enimerosi that "we will have to wait and see."
Several of Fraport's employees returned to working from home on Monday, both because the workload didn't require them to be physically present at the Athens offices and to comply with health measures and avoid large numbers of people together.
