Covid-19 Delta variant now in Corfu, Lefkada and Cephalonia
CORFU. A Delta variant case was detected insampling done by the SARS-CoV-2 National Genomic Surveillance Network, coordinated by the National Public Health Organization EODY.

Stricter checks on travellers from Russia due to Delta Covid variant
ATHENS. From 30 June all travellers arriving from Russia must have certification of a negative PCR or rapid test whether or not they are vaccinated.

Increasing evidence of UK Covid-19 variant in Corfu positive samples
ATHENS. The daily EODY reports and specifically the genomic surveillance for coronavirus variants show that 26 instances of the variant were found amongst the positive samples.

Covid mutation found in Corfu (UK variant)
ATHENS. According to the Biomedical Research Foundation Academy for SARS-CoV-2 mutations, the genomic analysis of 454 selected new samples for the period 7 January to 9 February has been completed.
