CORFU. Among the speakers was Dimitris Antoniou. His topic, ΄We say stop to lack of road safety,΄ was very important for the children — and not only them — since we know well that on the roads of Corfu, accidents number in the hundreds every year, many of them fatal.

Large numbers participated in the successful Thinali Kids Festival organised by Thinaliakos Academy on Saturday, July 12. An event for children that took place at the Town Hall Square in Acharavi, featuring a rich programme (talks, a movie, magic shows, gifts) that delighted everyone.

The Academy’s Thank You Message

We sincerely thank everyone who came to our children's festival. All of us who worked hard and put in the effort are especially happy to hear the positive feedback you shared with us.

Warm thanks to all the parents of the Academy who volunteered and contributed to making our children's festival a success. A big thank you to the Local Council of Agios Panteleimon (Babis Vlachos, Tasos Pouliasis) for helping make the evening possible!

A heartfelt thank you to the Lafka Association and especially its president, Babis Varelis, who once again stood by our side. An equally big thank you to the Acharavi Women’s Association for their help and continued cooperation year after year.

A huge thank you to all the businesses that supported us again this year and made the evening possible. A special thank you to the bookshop-stationery shop Diaplasi – Stefanos Tsirigotis, who once again stood by our side, supporting people in need.

A big thank you to Themis Kosmas, who voluntarily helped with the sound throughout the entire evening!

Together, we can achieve so much!

Among the speakers was Dimitris Antoniou. His topic, "We say stop to lack of road safety," was very important for the children — and not only for them — since we know well that on the roads of Corfu, accidents number in the hundreds every year, many of them fatal.

Regarding his invitation and experience at the Kids Festival, Dimitris Antoniou stated:

"What beautiful things can happen when people truly care about children and their future. We are in Acharavi, North Corfu, for the children's festival where I was one of the participants. Children and parents embraced the event and showed in the clearest way that such wonderful initiatives from the local community are both valuable and full of hope.

We thank the Thinaliakos Football Academy for the invitation, we also thank the Acharavi Beach Hotel for the hospitality, and of course, we thank Hellas Direct, who stands by us in every initiative for road safety and children's education."
