Central Corfu Municipality online platform for proposals from public for Local Urban Planning

CORFU. The Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands has created the email address [email protected] for the active participation of the public.
(Central Corfu Municipality) As part of the preparation of the Local Urban Planning Plan (LUPP) for the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands, consultation with stakeholders and citizens plays an important role in the design, as it ensures the participation of the local community and involved parties in the shaping of the plan.
For this reason, in addition to the meetings and workshops that will be held to present the study and exchange views, an online participation platform has been created by the General Secretariat for Spatial Planning & Urban Environment (https://polsxedia.ypen.gov.gr/) to help understand the process of urban planning and familiarise users with its content and procedures.
The Local Urban Planning Plans are the primary tool for spatial planning and organising urban and rural areas. They are developed within the framework of the 'Konstantinos Doxiadis' Urban Planning Reform programme funded by resources from the Recovery and Resilience Fund. Through these plans, sustainable development of areas, protection of the natural environment, and strengthening of social cohesion are sought. LUPPs are regulatory documents that define land use, building conditions, protected areas, as well as priorities for infrastructure and social services.
Municipality email address
Given that consultation helps integrate local needs and to ensure legality and social consensus during the implementation of the LUPP, the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands has created the email address ([email protected]) for the active participation of citizens.
At the email address, each member of the public and organisation can submit their opinions, concerns, and ideas about the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Local Urban Planning Plan. All these suggestions will be forwarded to the planners to be considered.
