Missing 84-year-old from Lefkimmi found dead

CORFU. An 84-year-old man from Lefkimmi, who had been missing, was found dead yesterday evening in a steep and almost inaccessible area of the countryside.
The Special Search and Rescue Unit (EMED) found his body, which was then removed with the aid of the Fire Service.
EMED made the following announcement:
“Today, 29 November, our 8-man team took part in the search for a missing person in the Lefkimmi area, after being called out by the police. After a short time, following a widespread search, we found the missing elderly man in a steep and almost inaccessible area. Unfortunately, he was not alive.”
