Ionian Islands taking part in Paris international tourism exhibition

PARIS. During his visit to Paris, the Regional Governor had a series of meetings, both with Ionian Islands businesses and tourism professionals, as well as with other representatives.

The Ionian Islands Region is participating as a co-exhibitor at the Greek National Tourism Organisation’s (GNTO) pavilion in the International Tourism Exhibition IFTM Top Resa, taking place from September 23 to 25 in the French capital.

Regional Governor Yiannis Trepeklis was also present at the exhibition, which, according to the Regional Authority’s announcement, hosts more than 1,500 exhibitors from over 100 countries, more than 32,000 tourism professionals, and is expected to attract over 50,000 visitors in total.

As part of his visit to Paris, the Regional Governor held a series of meetings, both with Ionian Islands businesses and tourism professionals, as well as other representatives such as Minister of Tourism Olga Kefaloyianni, President of the GNTO Angeliki Varela, the Ambassador of Greece to Paris Antonis Alexandridis, and the Regional Governor of Attica Nikos Hardalias.

The Ionian Islands Region will return to Paris in the spring of 2026, participating in the International Tourism Exhibition Salon Mondial du Tourisme Paris (March 12–15, 2026).

At the same time, a series of tourism promotion events and activities has already been planned, along with an advertising campaign featuring images of the Ionian Islands displayed on dozens of Paris taxis, aiming for even greater penetration into the French market.
