Ionian Islands Region takes part in Travel Expo Cyprus 2025 - aiming at Cyprus tourist market
CORFU. People of all age groups visited the Ionian Islands Region΄s booth, and there was great interest in all the islands.
(Ionian Islands Regional Authority Press Office) The Ionian Islands Regional Authority once again participated this year in Cyprus’s International Tourism Exhibition, Travel Expo Cyprus 2025, which took place from April 25 to 27 in Nicosia, at the grounds of the State Fair.
The International Tourism Exhibition TRAVEL EXPO CYPRUS is organised by the Association of Cyprus Travel and Tourist Agents (ACTTA) and the Display Art Group of Companies, attracting more than 10,000 visitors annually. Exhibitors from Cyprus, Greece and abroad take part in the event. Over 650,000 Cypriots visit Greece annually, making Cyprus a key target market for the Ionian Islands Region.
Participants in the exhibition included the Greek National Tourism Organisation, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism of Cyprus, Travel Agencies, Airlines, Hotels, Tourist Resorts, Regions, Islands and Municipalities of Greece, as well as international exhibitors from countries such as Poland, Sweden, Finland, India and many others. In addition to the Ionian Islands Region, Greek regional participants included the Regions of Central Macedonia, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Epirus, Central Greece, and the North Aegean.
People of all age groups visited the Ionian Islands Region’s booth, showing great interest in all the islands. Visitors also included tourism professionals and journalists, as well as the Deputy Minister of Tourism of Cyprus, Konstantinos Koumis, and the Ambassador of Greece to Cyprus, Ioannis Papameletiou.
The Ionian Islands Region booth was coordinated and supported by the Head of Tourism for the Regional Unit of Corfu, Giorgos Papavlassopoulos.
