The Sunday after next, on the 30th of the month, when the clocks also go forward, the 2025 tourist season for Corfu will begin. There will be twelve flights to and from Corfu Airport, with British Airways making the inaugural arrival from London’s Heathrow Airport.
Heathrow Airport went viral in the news this morning due to a major fire caused by an electrical substation, which resulted in a blackout and the cancellation of most operations for the entire day.
"The airport is facing serious power supply issues due to the fire. To ensure the safety of our passengers and colleagues, Heathrow will remain closed until 23:59 on March 21," stated the airport’s managing company in an announcement.
