Regional Governor inspects roadworks in North Corfu
CORFU. Similar road maintenance work is also underway in South Corfu, from Moraitika to Lefkimmi port.
The Regional Governor, Yiannis Trepeklis, accompanied by the Deputy Regional Governor for Technical Works & Planning, Giorgos Mamalos, conducted an inspection along with the Mayor of North Corfu, Giorgos Mahimaris, of the road marking work on a section of the National Road Network within the boundaries of the Municipality of North Corfu, specifically in the general area of Agrafi, on Wednesday, August 28th.
The Regional Governor stated: "We have made a committment that by the end of the year, road markings will be completed across the entire Regional Unit of Corfu, as this will allow us to enhance the safety of both our residents and visitors on our challenging road network."
He also pointed out that: "By October, the updated study for the bypass in Skripero will be ready, so that the necessary expropriations can then follow and this much-desired project, essential for development not only in North Corfu but for the entire island, can be implemented."
Similar road maintenance work is also underway in South Corfu, from Moraitika to Lefkimmi port.
