Protest to DEYAK from Ano Pavliana community president
CORFU. What is happening with DEYAK΄s services is beyond belief!
The following is a testimony of what I encounter daily with the services of DEYAK. I am the president of the Ano Pavliana Community and my name is Spyridon Koskinas. I may be the youngest elected president of a Municipal Community in Corfu.
The village of Ano Pavliana faces a huge problem regarding its water supply, a long-standing issue. However, what particularly astonishes me is the fact that, according to a doctrine or perception held by some DEYAK employees, I am obliged as the president to deal with the damages that exist. Furthermore, someone informed me that it is the president's job to fix the damages and generally oversee the village's water network.
There is complete negligence, resulting in my daily involvement to ensure water supply for my village, along with various other fellow villagers who sometimes either repair the damage themselves or even pay out of their own pockets to hire a plumber to fix the damage.
The photos I am sending are of a broken water pipe, on the road to the village, which could even cause an accident. They have been notified, they have been informed, but nothing has been done, resulting in me calling an external plumber to fix the damage and paying for it myself.
There are numerous damages in the water network, resulting in a huge volume of water being lost in an area that has water supply issues. These have existed for many years, and have been reported to the authorities, but this damage is on a road to the village, which could lead to an accident. As a person with responsibility and conscience, I will do what needs to be done, something that those who are supposed to do it, don't do.
