Training seminars on use of defibrillators at North Corfu schools

CORFU. Following the installation of defibrillators in schools by North Corfu Municipality, training has begun on their usage by Ambulance Service (EKAB) trainers.

(North Corfu Municipality) On Monday, January 22, the second phase - following the initial delivery - took place, with training on the use of defibrillators and first aid by a team from the Ambulance Service (EKAB) to the teaching staff at the 1st Thinali School Centre (Acharavi Primary School) and Acharavi Junior High. The training was conducted in the presence of the school principals, Panayiotis Papadatos of the 1st Thinali School Centre (and president of North Corfu Municipal Council) and Anastasios Sgouros of Acharavi Junior High, by the training team of Corfu EKAB.

A total of 35 educators were trained, and in the coming days, they will receive certificates of attendance from EKAB. Spirodoula Kokkali, representing the Municipal Authority, was also present.

The training on the use of defibrillators was part of the comprehensive distribution of defibrillators to educational institutions by the Municipality of North Corfu, in collaboration with the principals of the respective school units.

Further training seminars on the use of defibrillators will be conducted in the remaining school units of the Municipality that have received defibrillators. In the near future, the Municipality will acquire defibrillators to equip all its facilities.
