Six high school pupils holding sit-in detained by police

Following complaints from the principals of the 1st and 2nd High Schools, police intervened in a sit-in being held yesterday evening. On the order of the Prosecutor, the police entered the school premises and detained six minors. Five of them are pupils from the occupied schools, while one is a pupil from another school.

The pupils gave statements and were subsequently released. Charges were filed against them for disrupting the operation of a service.

Initial information indicates that no material damage has been reported in the schools, and the sit-in has ended.
