Sit-in at Kassiopi Junior High and High School in protest at lack of school transport

CORFU. Several school bus routes in North Corfu have still not been contracted out.
Pupils have been holding a sit-in at Kassiopi Junior High and High School since Monday evening in protest at the problem of school transportation, which has not been resolved in their area yet.
Some routes started operating a few days ago in North Corfu; however, several of them still remain inactive.
Amalia Goudeli, the secretary of the North Corfu Parents' Association, told Enimerosi that parents in Kassiopi attempted to prevent the sit-in but were unsuccessful. "We do not consider sit-ins to be a solution. We are fighting for the children to go to school," she stated.
