The North Corfu Municipality delivered half a ton of basic necessities on Thursday 12 October to the Corfu branch of the Hellenic Red Cross to support the Thessaly flood victims.
The basic necessities - flour, pasta, pulses, evaporated milk, canned goods, baby food, cereals and rusks - which were collected by citizens at the Acharavi Town Hall following a call of the North Corfu Municipality, were delivered by the Deputy Mayor for Circular Economy, Environment, Social Policy and Public Relations Spyridoula Kokkali and the Civil Protection Supervisor Giorgos Mavropoulos.
The North Corfu Municipal Authority would like to thank the citizens for their generous contribution. The solidarity shown by our local community is deeply touching. In these difficult times experienced by our fellow citizens, they reminded us that only united we can face the challenges and create a better tomorrow for all.
