British woman, 22, found dead in Kavos
CORFU. According to initial information, the young woman was on holiday in Corfu.
The body of a 22-year-old British woman was found just before 8 a.m. on Friday on a roadside near rented rooms in the area of Kavos.
A driver's licence was found on the young womans corpse, which is being used to identify her.
An ambulance immediately rushed to the location and the police and the forensics team are at the scene, as well as a medical examiner. The case is being handled by Lefkimmi Police.
An on-the-spot inspection did not reveal any signs of criminal activity. There was only one injury to the head, which, according to initial assessments, appears to be the result of her fall to the ground.
The cause of death of the 22-year-old tourist will be determined through a post-mortem examination.
