Part of Corfu Town without water for third day!
CORFU. Not one person from DEYAK had the courtesy to provide information and take responsibility. Not one!
For the third day running, in the month of August, a large block in the heart of the town has been without water. There is a crew digging here and there but without providing any answers.
"What are you searching for, guys? And by the way, why do we not have any water?"
"There's a leak somewhere," is the reply!
For the third day running, shops and offices, cafes, restaurants, tavernas, office toilets with employees in the town centre are without water. Not one person from DEYAK had the courtesy to provide information and take responsibility. Not one!
On Thursday afternoon, someone deigned to pick up the phone... to respond that the crew had left (???) and was in Kontokali, and that perhaps the contractor had left the water supply valve turned off! They said they would call him later!!!
The next day - today Friday - perhaps they couldn't reach him on the phone. The valve was completely turned off, cutting off even the few drops of water that were only reaching the ground floor shops, barely allowing them to function (dishes, coffees, toilets). Today, Friday, DEYAK declared a day off in the town centre, following the usual habit of disorganisation and audacity.
There had to be such a day off. All the smart cities on the planet celebrate it, don't you know!
