CORFU. According to the Fire Service, none of the fronts are under control.
The fire that started yesterday in Loutses and spread to Santa, Porta, Megoula, Sinies, Ano Perithia, Viglatouri, and Ai Giorgi towards Kassiopi is still ongoing. It is spreading towards Pantokrator while a battle is being fought to prevent the flames from reaching Lafki and Petalia.
According to the Fire Department, no front is under control, and recently, there was a flare up near Old Perithia. Strong ground forces continue to fight the flames, and water drops from aircraft are being carried out continuously.
There are 62 firefighters, 3 ground units, 4 aircraft and 3 helicopters Involved in the firefighting operation.
