North Corfu Municipality acquires new street sweeper
CORFU. North Corfu Mayor: "We are waiting to receive more equipment."
The 4-cubic-metρε capacity vacuum sweeper was received on Tuesday, June 7 by the Municipality of North Corfu. It will enhance the existing mechanical fleet on one hand and contribute to the more efficient operation of the Municipality's services on the other. The motoriσed sweeper not only cleans roads but can also effectively contribute to the cleaning of squares, municipal streets, and other public spaces after events or large gatherings, collecting scattered waste, leaves, other plant debris, debris from deforestation, residues from other cleanings, and scattered waste near garbage bins. Its function is equally important in tourist areas.
"The Cleaning-Recycling-Green Department (operational project) of the Municipality is gradually acquiring the appropriate equipment to better manage waste," said Mayor Giorgos Mahimaris. "The difference is now evident and will further improve. We are awaiting the delivery of the next machines."
