CORFU. The Municipality has been requested to repair damage that has been discovered.
The company that has rented the former Aktaion cafe in Upper Square from Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality has requested that the municipality repair the damage that was discovered whilst making renovations.
The new tenant has stopped paying rent until the municipality fixes the structural problems that exist. The monthly rental is €16,000 plus 3.6% stamp duty.
The company has already submitted a technical report with what it has found to the municipal services and Deputy Mayor for Finance Giorgos Pantelios told Enimerosi that the Planning Department will conduct an inspection to establish what problems exist.
Mr. Pantelios said that the municipality is looking into the company's request so that a decision can be made as to what should be done.
When the contract was signed in July 2022, the tenant company paid a deposit for the property equivalent to one year's rental - €192,000.
