CORFU. The boat was lifted out of the bay on Saturday without any serious damage having been done, apart from taking in some water, according to the Port Authority.
The boat Thalassino Trifylli which was stranded in Garitsa Bay on Saturday afternoon has been temporarily placed in Garitsa park.
It was carried there by the strong winds but there was minimal damage done as the winds weren't as strong as had been expected.
It was lifted out of the water on Saturday without any serious damage having been done, apart from taking in some water, according to the Port Authority. There were no injuries and no pollution.
Corfu Central Port Authority is conducting an investigation and the boat has been prohibited from sailing until it gets a certificate of seaworthiness.
The boat has been temporarily 'parked' on land until it is transported back to the sea.
