Water supply improvement project begins in Parelia District

CORFU. With this project the water supply in Sinarades, Pelekas, Agios Ioannis, Kokkini, Vatos and Ermones will be upgraded.
The Central Corfu Mayor and DIADEYADK President Meropi Ydraiou signed today the contract for the water supply improvement project in the Parelia District, which is being funded by the 'Antonis Tritsis' programme with a €1.8 million budget.
It concerns the replacement of about 12.5km of water supply pipes, as well as the replacement and upgrade of the electromechanical equipment, drillings, tanks and pumping stations.
The deadline for the completion of the project is 12 months from the signing of the contract.
After the completion of the project, Sinarades, Pelekas, Agios Ioannis, Kokkini, Vatos and Ermones of the Parelia District are expected to have a sufficient quantity of good quality water.
Present at the signing of the contract were also the members of the DIADEYADK Board Vassilis Argyros and Vassilis Melidis, the Deputy Mayor for Finance Giorgos Pantelios and the Deputy Mayor for Technical Works Nikos Kalogeros.
